This review is for the color versions black/2 and brown/2.My leather watch band search on Amazon were largely influenced by the dominant brands, each touting “full grain leather” or some ambiguous “top quality” leather type of material.I’ve gotten my share of these and did believe they were the quality advertised, but my seldom and casual use time with them yielded a seemingly exaggerated degree of age and wear appearance. I disregarded these observations for the most part, also believing that this is just the nature of leather bands or at worst, the leather was such a thin layer that even being “full grain” had its limitations. I’m glad I didn’t settle and eventually re-pursued the search for better quality leather bands at a fair value price.I finally found these leather bands and the Horween Chromexcel leather type caught my interest. This type is well known and well-regarded to be high quality full grain from a reputable source. CHECK.Additionally, the selection of odd/even sizes, conservative taper, subtle stitching pattern, color-matched thread, moderate padding, and smooth clean appearance versatile for casual and formal wear supplied the remaining CHECKS for all my preferences. SOLD.Other than being stiff and needing a break in period, these bands did not disappoint! The build quality looks precise and robust, and the leather feels substantial, expectedly beautiful, and has been wearing well. Of note, these bands are slightly shorter, fitting better for my 6.5inch wrist, so check the measurements accordingly!I’m not interested in a variety of styles and brands; just the right one that works with my aesthetics. These are it!
