The watch has just enough heft to feel a sense of quality but yet is light and comfortable. Highly recommend. After I figured out how to properly latch the watch strap it no longer opens on its own. Pull out once to set date twice for time. The only issue I have with this watch is the date is too small to read and the watch is unrecognizable to read in the dark.I bought this watch for my hubby. When opening the box the presentation was EVERYTHING. It came in a box, inside a heavy glass jar with a lid, took off lid watch wrapped in tissue paper, with a sponge in a drawstring bag with the watch around it and it has a booklet inside. It's solar powered no winding a watch. I took this to a engraving store and had it done on the back of the watch. However, the only space was at the top and bottom .. it still looked great when it was finished. One of my baby's wedding anniversary gifts. He absolutely LOVES this watch. BTW .. I'm keeping the jar it came in to put small jewelry what-knots. This is a win-winLiked the looks of the watch. Also the weight of the watchBeautiful watch and looks like it is made well, but I had to return because it would not work. I did order another one, so I will see if the 2nd one works. I did receive the 2nd watch and it was well packaged and looks brand new, but after 2 full days out in the sun, the watch still does not work. It seems they look great, but not reliable at all. Probably best to stay away from this brand. I will not be buying Bering watches any time soon.Good value for a day to day watchThis Bering solar stainless steel watch looks and feels like its not even on my wrist. Solar fantastic. I may never have to be concerned about running out of juice. This watch is worth purchasing. It is made very well.I received numerous compliments from friends and family. The packaged arrived all safe and well on the day stated for delivery.Years ago I had rectangular Skagen watches (and still do) however they seem to have shunned the rectangular shape over the years I even had the Skagen sub brand Grenen (now unavailable) a small rectangular watch that to date is one of my favourites. The Bering ticked the boxes for a new bigger watch than my Grenen and it looks great. This is a beautiful looking watch, very slim once on the wrist with the band easily adjusted with a small flat blade screwdriver. On arrival it was dead but after a short while indoors with the light on it started to tick every 2 seconds to signal low battery. After an hour or two in the kitchen with the light on normal ticking started. It is a slim watch that is easy to read, the second hand is very slim so should not be confused with the minute hand as can be done with some other watches I have. A dark face with silver numbers and hands works well with the sculptured inner face. The small date window to me is legible as well. Hands and numbers have some lume but like others in this style can fade after time and will be dark over night. Some aspects of this Bering watch are very similar to Skagen, the are very slim and even look to share a similar band mounting system with the band held in place by 4 small screws.Although I have a few slim rectangular and round Skagen watches the Bering brings back the simple rectangular shape, yes the date window is small and the band is non standard fitting but with its understated looks and design, The sapphire glass should make this an item on the new watch considerations list. The solar power is the icing on the cake.Highly recommended alternative to Skagen.I have a fascination for watches, I have about 30 with a very small number in the slightly expensive range. Most of my watches are around this price point. I don't usually purchase watches online. I browse around the shops and for some reason a particular watch just jumps out at me. This watch jumped out at me whilst browsing and I already have a watch from this manufacturer so fairly confident. Arrived quickly, but underwhelmed, The date number is that small I cant read it, the clasp looks cheap and the look and feel of the watch is below par when compared with my other watches. Not sure whether to return the watch. First look, it likes one of those unbranded watches you see in a department store. This watch is so good looking, and unpretentious.Great chrome mesh bracelet, large black face large numbers, sweep second hand.Solar, and it's that comfortable you don't know it's on your wrist.Suggestion dont have it on wrist tight as may misshape strap or bend slightly..It's an eye catcher, very small date box, but who cares.Fairly slim.. shame theres NO PHOTOS of back or side...You dont need instructions, but Berings instructions couldn't be smaller you'll need a magnifying glass to read it.Shane a white face isn't in production.Tip shop around prices can differ by about £50-60.Go for it !!!Overall I am very pleased with this timepiece. The concept of a solar watch is brilliant. They have even provided glass packaging that can be reused. In use it is an excellent clear analogue watch that is moulded to your wrist for comfort and keeps accurate time. ONE solar charge will give about 30 hours of use (In winter) so not suitable for daily use all year round. I keep the watch on the window sill to charge - would be good if BERING added a charging post to help with this.I had been looking for a while at this watch and when I saw it at a very reasonable price I took the plunge. It took a while to arrive from USA and first impressions were great. Unfortunately that's all I can say. The watch did not charge or hold its charge and stopped after a short time. It's been sent back so let's hope it gets to USA for my refund
