Been wearing it everyday since i got it - even got compliments from various peeps for its simple but sleek design......Everything works well in time, including the chronograph features, no problem. Light enough even for hot summer days.I really like automatic watches but I can also recognize that quartz systems have a lot of value. It is just that you cannot use the same scale to measure them. Bearing that in mind, I believe this is a very good product.I have had it for one and a half years and I can say it is a very accurate watch (as expected from a quartz piece) and so far, a very reliable one. In general terms, I try to be careful with my watches, but I cannot avoid occasional accidents. In that regard, my watch has resisted everything well. The mineral crystal has absolutely no scratches. Overall, this watch is well built. It is definitely not a watch that can resist a beating without blinking but it is by no means a fragile product. Now the DESIGN (coupled with its price) is what really makes this watch a truly great alternative. In terms of beauty, elegance and harmony it is truly difficult to surpass (at least in its segment). It is absolutely Scandinavian (simple, elegant) but with a very well thought touch of discrete shine that adds to its beauty. This is the kind of watch that you can use both on business and country club environments and that will never scream but will always draw attention. The case is VERY comfortable as it measures 40 mm and has a somewhat conic shape that gets smaller as it approaches the wrist. As a result, it obviously looks like a 40 mm watch (a size that would be comfortable per se) but it feels a bit smaller in the wrist, making it even more comfortable to use. The dial is absolutely beautiful (and unique). According to the pictures shown in Amazon the dial color is kind of charcoal. But in reality it is less dark than that and the remarkable sunburst effect reflects the light in tones that resemble bronze. An absolutely elegant, beautiful result. Likewise, there is a subtle contrast in textures that contributes greatly to make me conclude that elegance and simplicity are the name of the game here. That is, the day and date displays have a very delicate circular brushing while the dial itself (outside those displays) is brushed in straight lines from the center to the borders. And that makes the sunlight gets reflected in a slightly different manner in the displays. Absolutely nice! Likewise, in perfect harmony with the rest of the watch the shiny and VERY slim contours of the the hands, of the hour marks and of the date and day displays are bronze-copper color. Finally, the strap is supple, comfortable and good quality. Besides that, its color matches very well with the design of the case and the dial, highlighting the design qualities of the overall product. If you are looking for a quartz watch that you can use in different environments and fits well every single time, comfortable, with outstanding elegant and simple design and that never goes unnoticed because of its elegance, buy it. Even more if you consider the price tag. A deal hard to defeat.Thin, easy to read, goes with everything. My expectations were exceeded by this wonderful watch! Skagen produces stylish, minimalist watches that have are very well priced for their quality. The watch itself looks fantastic. As promoted, the watch has clean lines and minimalist elegance. The band overdoes the simplistic look a bit though, in that despite it being leather, there is no stitching and the grain is so small it looks plastic from anything over 3 ft. I plan to replace the band with two others, one metal and one leather with a bit more character, with stitching and a visible grain. But back to the watch - great looking, nicely understated, but carries the look of an expensive watch. Not real expensive, but more expensive than this one. This watch is incredible! It's beautiful, functions well, and the chronograph operation is intuitive. This is seriously the best watch I have and it's not even the most I've spent on a watch. I've never had a chronograph complication on a watch before so it's great to have this. I didn't realize it counts seconds, minutes, and even one hour in such a way. Easily the most practical watch I have. I have the blue dial with the light brown leather band, which by the way is very comfortable. It's sort of like a suede material on the inside. It fits snug how I like it. Even if I loosen in one notch, it does not rotate around my wrist. Actually it doesn't move at all even when loosened this one notch. After a couple minutes, I guess 5 minutes, the fractional second counter stops and you only see the second counter and minute counters moving. This is a great feature because it stops the fast hand from moving (fractional second) which, I imagine, would waste battery otherwise.I've bought niche brands before and off brands but from now on I'm going to stick to the budget watches from legit retailers/manufacturers like Skagen.I bought this watch for a wedding and got many compliments on it. I like the low profile of the skagen watches.I decided to wait at least a week before reviewing so I could test the time keeping ability (I don’t own an oscilloscope). Box is nice and I am very satisfied with the look of the watch, it’s growing on me. First thing I had to do was set the day/date and time, as I’ve never owned a mechanical watch like this I just had to figure it out. So in the end here’s my conclusion, first you need to get the day off the week set, then get the time set (pay attention to AM/PM when the date changes). Yes you will have to go all the way around day through day to get the day of the week set it’s a pain, but once you get it you’ll never have to mess with it again. After that you need to get the dial in the middle position, and set the date by turning the dial counter clockwise, then you’re set. It is not a perpetual clock so you’ll have to set the date for each month which isn’t a big deal because you don’t have to mess with your time.In my test the watch gained about a half second after 8 days which is fantastic, it will gain less than a minute in a year. This is my second skagen watch. The quality look for the price is great, the rose gold accents on the hour markers and hands match the tan strap, i prefer a slim watch like this one is and its comfortable, my only gripe stopping me giving 5 stars is the strap, I got a water spot on it and when dried it left a stain which did not rub out, I ended up taking a damp cloth and wiping it down to remove what seems to be the top coat which made it lighter nut colour matched the watch accents even better on my opinion, now if it gets any water on it does not stain. If skagen sort the strap with a proper water repellent coating this watch would be perfect.I was disappointed by this watch. Looks great in photos. In reality it is attractive but functionally difficult to read times less than bright light light. Setting date and is that of good old days. !!, very primitive. The most disagreeable thing is the bracelet. Very awkward to put on and remove. If you are used normal metal bracelets, forget about this cumbersome bracelet. Hence I returned and bought Seiko Titanium Quartz. Great watch. Perfect. Very light. This is a great watch. Good workmanship as always with Skagen. Great value for the money. This is my third Skagen watch and I highly recommend it.Came in a Michael Korrs box for some reason with no instructions or warranty. Also crown fell out. Very poor service and qualityLovely stylish watch. Quite a shiny strap which may not be ideal for some men but a nice watch all the same.
