I didn't get my first watch until I was in high school. It was a cheap Timex with a black strap and white face. I don't know why I was so late getting a watch but considering that until I was three, apparently I didn't speak a word, not even 'Timex!' I guess it was just my nature to be slow.My second watch was a Seiko-5, a gold-tone Rolex-style item that I vaguely remember wearing all the way up to graduate seminars. I don't know what I got next but I do know by that time I wouldn't be caught dead in a 'gold' watch.Until I met this Naviforce ana-digi character. I had already bought their pure-analogue rose-gold & black number - huge and beautiful, more like copper than gold, with a pleasing root-beer brown dial and bezel details, and a knockout black-enamel case - and while browsing that one saw the gold ana-digi with black dial and prominent gold & white hands with lumi. I kept coming back to it and soon it overcame my dislike of digital elements in an analogue timepiece. I ordered it. The copper/black model had come with a laughably fake leather strap in mud brown that so annoyed me I had to drive straight downtown to a watch shop and spend more on a black leather strap than I had on the watch. I expected the same with this one and ordered a tan leather strap that was a little too orange for my taste but was the only thing I could get in 24mm.When the watch arrived I found it wearing a strap that I actually liked. A thick, sueded, peanut-butter coloured strap with silky medium-brown stitching that I wore for a couple weeks until I felt so sorry for the orange/tan side order that I had to do something with it. So I got after it with teak oil, which really penetrated and took the orange down to a good dark tan and left the white stitching untainted. Let it dry for a few days and just put it on tonight. Sorry, peanut butter, you weren't bad but this is better even though now that it's dry it looks orange again. The watch itself is easy to read under any conditions - like even if you were kidnapped and thrown in the trunk of a car - with the bright gold & white hands against the black dial, which is flecked with seemingly random strokes of gold by the barely noticeable digital info. The perimeter of the dial is traced with three concentric gold circles that nicely relate the dial to the gold of the bezel. The immovable bezel is marked with compass directions that have no obvious purpose and I'd much rather have had it marked 5-10-15-20 etc. because the dial itself is not dressed with visible time indicators either. The bezel goes N I NE I E I SE and so on, the compass points separated by vertical slashes, but there are 16 positions marked and there's no relation between these and the 12 marks we use to represent the hours of the day. Too bad, because as already stated, the compass marks are useless too. But if you need an alarm, it's there. If you need a chronometer, it's there. I don't need those things but I do like to see the day of the week written large on the screen and the date legible if you look at the screen head on. Mostly I think of it as a sun dial on my wrist and for the price I paid, I am very happy.Very durable and the band is large enough to fit over my hand.. very large handsGreat watch. Alarm stop watch date day !!Liked the functions but the watch was too heavy for band pin. Came out several times.Came in a timely manner, wrapped securely, protected well. Watch came with a link removal tool (plastic) that worked great. Even came with a warranty card. ( Looks like a credit card). Thank you. Would buy again. If your looking for a 'Watch of a Lifetime' this watch isn't it; But if your looking for an attention grabbing 'Men's accessory' at a fantastic price point- look no further. Practically all these Naviforce watches are my go to 'Men's accessory', when I need one. Yet I can wear them in the field- working, then right there with my favorite Blazar for a night on the town. Never do I worry about smashing, or cracking the crystal, breaking the band, or trying to figure out the various functions; I just drop another few dollars and order another. For Real, try it.Pretty good watch so far. Keeps good time.I like that the watch band isnt rubber. The moving hands do get in the way when trying to read the date, ect. Plus I wish the backlight was brighter. Maybe weak battery? Other than that its a good watch. I do physical work so I hope it will hold up. Thats why I hate rubber watch bands. I constantly snag and tear them.Difficult to get the settings right.
