I'm not quite sold on this cordovan strap.I've tested several straps from Da Luca, and I really like them in general. My only issue with the brand is that the straps are delivered in either a soft fabric bag or just wrapped in a bubble wrap pouch. Given the cost of these straps I'd expect the presentation to be a little more... I don't know, fancy. Put these things in a box. Lay them out like jewelry. Make it an occasion. This strap specifically I don't really love, because cordovan seems less suited to watch straps than Horween leather. It feels less pliable and appears to be more susceptible to damage. I tried to attach it to an Alpina Alpiner 4, rather foolishly trying to slip it through the tight gap between the case and spring bars, and managed to scrape an ugly score along half the length of the leather. From experience I know that Horween straps can usually take such treatment without suffering damage. This was, of course, my fault. I should have removed the spring bars and reapplied them over the strap, so I won't knock off any stars, but yeah, if this strap is to be useable I'll need to give the leather some TLC to restore the surface. The leather is high quality, and I appreciate the value of a handmade watch strap, but I just can't bring myself to love this one.
